105 notchback Anglia? Very popular with the modified Ford guys -several in our area with VTec engines.

You don't say what type of Anglia. Sit up and beg, or angle box.
Either make good gassers.  ;D

Sorry :) Why not an Anglia? There was a "hotrod" one featured in Custom Car magazine a few months ago. It had a Ford Pop radiator shell which didn't really work for me -Id've done something interesting with the original front panels -but plenty of scope for a custom.
I assume you've seen the gasser'd Anglia estate that's currently for sale?

My first car was an Anglia.  NOT the one with the funny rear window, a black sit up and beg one.

Why not a period 60s/70s one with 1500 pre Xflow or even a 1600 Xflow capri struts and discs, lowered etc etc.

Or maybe something like Gary Laytons Anglia. Blown Rover pro street, caged and tubbed. Can't find any pictures of it

hello kev, well I'm hoping/assuming we could do what everybody seems to be doing and puts an engine in it and just send off the logbook with new engine size ? ;D
As for all the other suggestions ,my son wants a pro street type ?  (Boring ?) but I know kev is going to slap my wrist..

I sort of quite like that. Definitely wouldn't pass IVA though.

Only the blower height to worry about really David for line of forward vision ;)   Plus door handles would need modifying.

I'm assuming the handles stick out to far kev ?

They are allowed to be 40mm on a slab sided car plus they wouldn't have been radiused correctly. They can be modified normally if you want to retain the original style or simply use something from a more modern vehicles that is Type Approved ( most things after about 1980).

I like early MX5 handles , nice shape, nice chrome detail and compliant :)

So on the Anglia I'd have to change the windscreen and door handles ? What else ? Wiper blades ,headlight bezels ? Bumpers ?

Not necessarily, You would need to check them all on the vehicle. I'm doing a Triumph Herald convertible at the moment, with very similar door handles. Luckily the chrome on them is a bit naff so we can radius them and have them rechromed, as with a couple of other trims/handles. The door handles don't even protrude out as far as the extreme edge of the vehicle so if needed (which it isn't) we could go to 50mm protrusion.
I think you would be quite surprised what would be ok on that car.

Well it's all confusing/interesting stuff and if the guy with his T-Bucket can get through something like an Anglia should be easier ?..I'd like to do one (relive my YOOF ?) but not pro street ( been there ) like my son wants to do ?
