Just handed back my BOC Aronshield bottle cos the annual rental has gone up to 88 quid -plus about 50 quid every time I refill the bottle. There are several companies offering rent free contracts now, so when I start welding again regularly I'll find another supplier.

I paid 120 pound for what they call a 20 Litre bottle that's including deposit for the bottle.
Then it will cost 65 pound a refill

If its mild steel, or mild steel alloys your welding use straight CO2, it does the job admirably, and is very inexpensive to buy. I get mine as a refill/exchange from a local general bottle gas supplier, who does Propane, Butane, etc. for general industrial and domestic use, must be one similar near you, £12/14-ish, Morrag

southwest gas supplies  emailed back to me this morning   they hav a stockist in  sc**thorpe = AE COOK who just happen to be one of the local motor trade factors

so the prices ==

10L cylinder   £65 sercharge and £39+vat a refill

20L cylinder  £70 sercharge  and £54+vat a refill

just got to way up the pro,s and con,s   then decide which way to go
