Hi Steve
ratio's do my head in to be honest
i did a lot of research on the net and found that a 3.91 ratio sierra was as close as for the 1200 wing i may have to play around with tyre size but I'm hoping i wont i have 15 inch 195 tyres on there now .
The sierra /Granada /cosworth diffs have a vast array of ratio's
they also come in 7 inch and a 71/2 inch the 7 inch diff is a much smaller diff and no not by just 1/2 a inch its quite a lot smaller lol
They also come in slide in half shafts or bolt on (lobro) mine is a lobro
if the ID plate isn't on the diff telling you the Ratio your gonna have to take the rear diff plate off and the ratio is written on the crown wheel.
The rear diff plate can be a right pain to get off ford used star bolts that wont undo the only way to get them undone is to cut the head of the bolt off with a 1mm cutting disk then get the mole grips on whats left
i  hope this helps and i havent gone on too much lol

the drive shaft on the wing is to the right as you sit on the bike
the shaft will be very short and have a slight but nothing to worry about angle
i know its good practice to get the shaft as straight as poss I've built all mine with a slight angle and have never had any problems

Steve, PM sent.

I looked into IRS 4 or so years ago as my next project, ended up going with the reliant instead.

it done me pigging head in mate  Grin
the problem was i had nothing to work too nothing to compare it too i must have had two weeks sleepless nights thinking about it  Grin
I'm on a real tight budget too so i couldn't afford to mess up or i would have had to buy another length of 20mm steam pipe @ £36.14  Shocked

Ive built ladder type chassis for cars etc over the years, but I found that building my trike frame was difficult as I was having to get all angles symmetrical etc. I described it not as working in 3D,but working in 4D !
