Thanks Andy.... Cool

Everyone misses the raw charm of AWOL, but we are bringing that back, a true "down to earth" magazine without all the excess bling.  Cool

I think you're onto a winner then. The original concept of a CD ROM based mag was brilliant but I can see how it'd end up being copied or pirated & you'd have virtually zero sales! Hope you still manage to add the odd DVD to the mag though, even if they're once a year compilations of feature bikes & shows. BSH do something similar don't they.
As always, if there's any way we can contribute here don't hesitate to ask.  Grin

Got my copy yesterday, impressed. Specially liked the Atan story, shame about the missing welding bits.  Well done.

I can only apologise for the missing bits, we're all on a learning curve with this, but I can assure you we have a dedicated team, and all the wrinkles will be ironed out.  Cool

I haven't got a copy yet!
Maybe you should print the missing bits on the Brit Chopper website so we can all download it, print it & add it to our mags!

 Grin Still sorely missed though.
Much as I enjoy the mighty BSH & still buy it every month, I think British builders relate more to the shed-built ethos of mags like AWOL -& Brit Chopper. Inverted snobbery maybe, but I'm always more impressed by tatty but well used & loved road bikes, than mega buck show ones. AWOL magazine always felt like it was written by people who struggled to build & maintain their bikes as much as I did -& still do.

Don't know what the secret is, but if you look back, you'll find that AWoL did just as many 'showy' bikes pro rata as BSH, but guess it got perceived in a different way. Possibly because we didn't do studio shoots.

And before anyone says a word, BSH (over the same period of time) did a lot more rats than AWoL!
