Hiya.
I've got a stretched King Sportster hung on the wall in my garage, but it's already kinda half promised to Janie & Dave.
Why not do the same as me & go for a standard Harley Sportster one? Mine was actually a freebie from Critch, but Rainbow bought one for her trike project from Ebay for less than 50 quid, including tap & cap.

Haven't heard much from him since he received it though so hope he's making use of it. Check his posts on the Brit Chopper forum for piccies of his progress so far.

Mine?!!
No! Really? Easily identified -got the MMMotors logo on the side!
So, what happened? Or shouldn't I ask? That'd explain why Rob's gone so quiet. A shame cos he was so enthusiastic too.
Just a minute -you paid 40 quid for it? I sold it to him cheap for 35! Was going to put it on Ebay for twice that but thought I was helping out a fellow skint builder.

Well you have sort of in a round about way, helped out a fellow triker................me.

I'm taking it as part payment on a seat, i'm thinking he might be using another tank because he's still building, or it's possible he ended up with 2 tanks.

Ah well. Id've only offered it to you if I still had it anyway so doesn't matter.
Everything gets used by someone in the end doesn't it! Check it's fuel tight. As I told Rob, it's had lots of welding at different times & I can't remember if it was tested last time around. Flap used a liquid tank sealant from Frost Auto Restorations on his which seems to have worked pretty well.
Did you get the speedo I threw in for free as well? The tank's been adapted to take a 60mm chrome mini speedo, so I chucked in a brand new one I had on the shelf. Told Rob he could have it for 15 quid -& never heard from him again.

No wasn't any mention of a speedo or an adaption, i'm wondering if it is the same tank now, i'll post a pic soon as it arrives.

I normaly bung some sealer in tanks if they need it or not, just to be on the safe side.

He didn't say anything about the tank being stretched already, and i told him i was going to hack and stretch.

i think it's another tank, not the same one you sold him, oh well we will know as soon as i get it.

Maybe a different guy?! He's only just bought that Harley saddle from Ebay so unless he's had a complete change of plan shouldn't need a new one from your good self.
Not bothered, but curious now!  Cheesy
