a c25 block will fit on the original frame mounts but they need to be moved up the frame if I remember righty did this many moons ago to a mates but why would you want to its too complete to warrant a change why not do as spanners suggests and get a scraper to bodge about only my opinion but your bike good luck whichever you go

Having had the bike for 40 years, I am not about to sell (or swap) it now.

Rebeccaism! Dwi ddim yn gwisgo ffrog . Though I have been tempted with a Kilt No intention of butchering. It will all be done in the best possible taste. . Spent the evening trying to get the banty running right . Think the coil winding may be breaking down, plus pretty sure the condenser is duff. Two more reasons to swap the motor

Took the Wipac mag dyno off and cooked the coils in the oven to a couple of hours. Seems the insulation had absorbed moisture. While it was in the oven I turned up a new centre bush as the old one was rotating in its housing. Banty is now running and starting first kick. No silencer fitted, just the header pipe and jeez its loud. Will have to re varnish the coils to seal them. So will proceed with rebuild with this engine fitted until something better turns up. (should please some luddites ) Hopefully some of the missing bits I can get at the Basingstoke show.

Or the Popham airfield show on Bank Holiday Monday Dave. Heating & re-varnishing coils is a new one on me. A tad before my time -honest.
