Shocked Rebeccaism!  Dwi ddim yn gwisgo ffrog . Though I have been tempted with a Kilt  Cheesy
No intention of butchering. It will all be done in the best possible taste. Cheesy. Spent the evening trying to get the banty running right . Think the coil winding may be breaking down, plus pretty sure the condenser is duff. Two more reasons to swap the motor  Wink

Took the Wipac mag dyno off and cooked the coils in the oven to a couple of hours. Seems the insulation had absorbed moisture. While it was in the oven I turned up a new centre bush as the old one was rotating in its housing.
Banty is now running and starting first kick. No silencer fitted, just the header pipe and jeez its loud.
Will have to re varnish the coils to seal them.
So will proceed with rebuild with this engine fitted until something better turns up. (should please some luddites  Wink Grin)
Hopefully some of the missing bits I can get at the Basingstoke show.
