Does a trike have to have car size or bike size plates?
Do the lights headlamp/rear etc, have to have the dot stamp on them for MSVA?
         Thanks......

The MSVA manual doesn't state bike or car size, only that a suitable space must be provided for a plate at the rear-most point of the vehicle & that it must be illuminated. It also says if the most practical place is side mounted, a duplicate space must be provided on the opposite side to comply with visibility requirements, (obviously when your trike's tested you won't have an actual number plate, so you only need to provide the space. Once you're on the road Id've thought it unlikely you'd be pulled if you're only running one plate).
Can't see anything about E marks etc on lights. Fairly sure you don't need them as long as the lights are suitable for the job.
