Taz & I have been in Basingstoke today, photographing a couple of motors for you lot to look at on the website soon. First up was Bill & his gorgeous 5 litre V8 LeMans GT40 replica. A stunning looking machine. Possibly the most uncomfortable car I've ever travelled in, but worth it just for the howl of that exhaust & the way the traffic parts to let you through. Full write-up in the Motors, 4 wheels section of the main site soon.
Oh, & it's up for sale to fund his sprint car racing career if you fancy it for doing the shopping in. Yours for 30 grand or so.

Over 25 years ago I accompanied a friend, and at that time Ford engineer to a small works showroom that held not only the original Jacky Ickx, Gulf GT40, but alongside the only GT70.somehow or other ha had obtained permission to make a "plug" of the GT40, as up until then there had been no replicas, as far as I am aware. All subsequent reps. came from this one orig. "plug", so there you go,"I was there!" as Max Boyce would say! nostalgia or what! Morrag

How cool is that! You lucky, lucky b*stard, as Monty Python would say.
Max Boyce? Now there's a name I haven't heard for many a year.
Taz & I are on holiday tomorrow, so will sit on the GT write-up till we get back in a week or two. Look out for it then.
