Title: Ford drum brakes. Post by: Olds on June 22, 2016, 07:34:33 AM Looking into 8" and 9" ford drum brakes (escort cortina capri etc) Think the distance between the drum mounting face (half shaft) and the axle flange is 2 1/4" (anyone confirm ?) on the 8" brake axles. I am assuming that the distance for the 9" versions would be the same, and the different brake width is catered for in the shape of the brake back plates. Does anyone know if this is correct ? Looks promising as I have a distance of 2 5/16" so a 16 swg spacer may be required. |
