The 3 of them slept most of the way home so no he didn't drive it. I keep saying he can have a drive in my car but he won't. 3.0 BMW doesn't do it for him.

Had some great times in the old mini's, a real fun to drive car. An absolute git when the bottom hose goes though, real badly scrapped knuckles and fingers. What a stupid place to put that particular hose, or is it stupid not making it easy to get at. Still, not much of a complaint though Wink

Hi everyone, front axel of at moment, all in small pieces oil all over garage floor.  Also found needle bearings in a kingpin bearing, not good news, but got a donor for spares.  Also swaping  standard diff for higher ratio one out of donor disco. Kiss Kiss

Lightning, nice Lightweight. Did you have to change both engine mounts on the chassis for the 200 tdi or just the one?

Hi flap we used the original engine mounts of the petrol engine onto the 200tdi, then raised both engine mounts on the chassis  about 2" because the engine was tilting downwards at the front.  we are hopeing to do a full write up of all the work we have done so far, so watch this space.
