Well, it's vaguely horse-power related. Been a gorgeous Spring-like day here today, so Taz & I had a stroll up the lane to say Hi to her ponies. These are Taz's carriage driving ponies & in the Summer these guys actually win maximum points for presentation. They look a bit scruffy over the Winter though as their coats are allowed to grow while they're living out in the fields. For the Summer months they're clipped. These are Welsh mountain ponies, between 13.1 & 13.3 hands high. Anything over 14.2 hands high is a horse. Over 18 hands high it's a giraffe.
Flossy, Max, Juno & Foxy.

Ponies having a kip on the hay. Max is the one having a sleep. Much more comfortable than mud.

Yeah, the aminals are cool -cr*p at spanner wielding though. Taz has lived & worked on the estate for 10 years. I'm a newbie, a townie & I'm lovin' it.

You cheeky git. I'll remember that when you need somewhere to kip when you are down this way. I was wearing a fleece jumper and a body warmer and that jacket is also fleece lined. Although it was sunny it was still very cold.

Thought I would add some pics of my sister's ponies. The first one whose name I have temprarily forgotten must be in her twenties now. Cammellia in the background is in her prime but doesn't get ridden much as my niece does cross-country and Cammy's legs just don't seem to stand up to it.

Humphrey (left) is half Shetland and Welly (right) is a Shetland. They're another couple of OAPs, my sister used to drive Hump and Welly has taught hundreds of children to ride - he was very well behaved for a Shetland, they are very strong and have an over-developed sense of humour not always shared by their riders.
