looking for a few 90 degree bends to adapt  a new reliant down pipe. hellish expensive on e bay. can the pipe be bent or is it too thin.  also wanted to lathe a straight bit to cut in to bits to fit as a sleeve internally to keep it strong or will that effect flow.   any help appreciated.

I usually use OJZ Engineering for pre-formed bends. I think they only do stainless & not the cheapest, but definitely the best service I've found. Bends normally work out about a tenner each.
I just cut a straight length of the same tube, slit it down it's length & pinch it up in a vice until it slips inside the exhaust to form a sleeve, then butt weld the pipe sections together.

Hi Dobber have you had any luck with the bends for your exhaust yet? If so where did you get fixed up? I'm looking for 1abd 1/4 inch but having a hard job finding any.

Where did that 13mm spanner go then?

you can get a 1.5 and then get some reducers off ebay
these do a 1.5 but i think that is the smallest they do the one displayed is not 1.5 but when you read the listing they do do a1.5  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90-degree-Stainless-Steel-Mandrel-Bend-76mm-3-inch-/220757866080?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336631b660
