Well done Craig. You really have made it your own now. Brilliant engineering by Mr Stumpy, another very clever man.

Might be a little to far there stinky but will think on it  Wink
Cheers andy and goose  Wink
Noticed a little bit of oil at the bottom of the diff today from where we had split it  Shocked.
Cleaned it up then remembered that when we had it apart we looked over the axle but could not find a breather hole. Never remember seeing one.Think it might have been sealed over with weld or paint.
Thought it could be building pressure and pushing out oil!
Got a 2mm drill bit and put a hole in the axle tube to let it breath, will find a split pin to put in it to help keep crap out. Gave the diff a lick of paint to to help seal it to. Smiley
Have started to make a grill to protect the rad.

before going to popham at the weekend i made and fitted a rad grill to stop stones smashing in to the front of the rad. galvanized steel grill and push on rubber edging.
also had the tank off for a bit of sanding and spraying. you can see the all thats been fitted skillfully under there.

well with some time over christmas decided it an ideal opportunity to get to now my engine more intimately  Shocked Wink
she has had a problem with oil going missing when i do longer harder runs, 120 miles + at motorway speeds. compression was down a bit to. suspected that the valve stem seals might be to blame.
so before christmas purchased full gasket kit, rings, oil, oil filter, sealant and clutch cover (old one had a hole which had been filled)
so after a good friend came to help and 17 hours graft we had the engine out, stripped, rings in, valves lapped, gaskets in, back together and back in the frame. Tongue Grin
am running her in a bit but she already sounds better (not sure my neighbors will be keen on that  Grin) give it a couple more weeks of running in then will do a compression test to check and a long to see if she has kicked her oil drinking habit. fingers crossed.
