Certainly interesting Mr Borg. I've already got more projects than I can manage though. Shame to see it go to waste.

The bike behind the car is for sale

Its a Yamaha PW 50 or 80, he thinks 50 though

It has a week spark, probably a duff coil, It's complete and he will let it go for £250 as is

Ah, a Lotus Elite 501. Never particularly liked them (the engine was never blindingly quick, and the early ones had some problems - oh, and they had the same cockpit as a Lotus Talbot Sunbeam!), and they make no money at all these days, but it's sad to see any Lotus in that condition or being broken.

My mistake - only glanced at it, and the Eclat is just the fastback version of the Elite  Smiley It was the Yanks' fault - the Eclat with its boot was only introduced because the Elite didn't go down very well in the US. Same engine, though. We never got into the 'new' Lotuses.

Take it it's being broken?

No its a runner , needs a bit of tidying up. It's got a 2 Lt 16 valve engine with twin Delloto 45 carbs. New fuel system with 'Faccett' pump complete new ignition system. There's a new cam belt and tensioner to go on. Has had a full rebuild on the seats, new leather and everything. New headliner

Used to be a show car, under the hood is very clean and tidy

But it does need the brakes looking at.

Just judging by the fact she's got her eyes open!! LOL. The vacuum units tended to be a weak point on the '70s cars and can be bloody expensive to mend (although not necessarily as expensive as on the Elans when it can be an indication that the chassis's knackered...)
