Mmm, shiny stuff! Flap's only got a little hose, (!), so don't think there'd be room for the great big clamps on that set-up but I wonder if it'd work with big jubilee clips?

Make 'em up in steel, get 'em chromed then fit with short lengths of rubber hose?

Think I'm gonna have to get some of these and join several hoses together to get the right shape.

Reg, our friendly local 'leccy bloke is busy wiring up Flap's Reliant at the moment. Should be ready for it's first fire-up, (not literally I hope, but I'll be standing by with the fire extinguisher & camera just in case), next weekend. Can't believe how many wires there are in that battery box! I'm sure half of them are just for show!

He's drawn up a proper wiring diagram an' everything.
Flap has absolutely no idea what's going on but tries to look useful.

Was in Halfrauds yesterday looking for bits to bodge a T piece for the vacuum pipe on my Maestro, and I noticed they had flexible hoses in all lengths and diameters - not very pretty, they're corrugated - a bit like fork gaiters - might solve your problem Flap?

Yep, seen them hoses B-G. But I think I've sorted it now, used standard Reliant hoses cut and turned and joined together with aluminium hose joiners.

Next big problem is the brakes leaking at all the banjo's and joints. Think I might try Dowty seals, anyone got any suggestions.

Isn't bike building fun!
Critchy, your axle clamps are done. So are the front engine mounts, will do the gearbox mounts tomorrow. We've also started on the bottom frame tubes & are waiting for Reg to finish off the headstock bearing cups. as soon as the front end arrives it should be full steam ahead. Wink
