The piccies that i put up of this build have been lost in the great Manky Monkey system crash of 06. Grin Things have been moving on over the past few days.

I made a spindle to match the Harley wide front end to the Honda 750 rear wheel.

Have changed the rear disc for a thinner one from the front wheel. The honda callipers do not even come close to fitting but I have a Suzuki one that does so I made a bracket to match them up!

I have taken  the cush drive out of the the other side, took the sprocket off and turned down the  excess ali on that. Sorted!

Started testing for what size shocks to put on? reckon 12" open will do.

Have enlongated the the holes on the bottom wishbone mounts all round so that I can fit the adjuster restricters and then adjust the camber & toe in.

Critch brought something similar with him when he gave us the components for the trike frame we built him. Didn't suit our rigid frames at all so didn't get used, but only cost him a tenner on FleaBay. How come I never spot all these bargains?!

Ah?

You have to look for items with no reserve and the auction finishes in the early hours, During working hours or during a major sporting events or Friday and Saturday nights. And don't confirm bid till the last miute

Got seat today at 1pm cos everyone was at work. Missed (cos I forgot) a complete Harley fat boy front end with bars headlight yokes wheel and callipers.

£220! Bugger. It finished at 9am Sunday.........

I've tried bidding on Ebay a couple of times but always been gazzumped in the very last seconds. Just winds me up so I keep away from it now! Only buy things that have a Buy It Now price. Amazing just how much stuff is sold there though.

Amazing just how much stuff is sold there though.

And equally amazing at the prices some people are prepared to pay.

Because, after the house move, Lily Groovekitten was losing her fur and the vet diagnosed stress, someone suggested I try Feliway which is supposedly to be nice, soothing pheromones to make moggies feel all cheerful (or at least not beating each other up). I figured it was probably snake oil, but wouldn't hurt to try, so did a bit of hunting on the internet. I found a veterinary supplier who sold me a brand new plug in diffuser and two refills for £12.

Out of interest, I did a search for Feliway on eBay, and came up with someone selling a secondhand diffuser and one refill. I watched the auction, and the final selling price was over £18!

I don't know whether people just can't be bothered (or don't think) to search the internet, or whether they get auction fever and get wound up if someone else bids and want to win at any cost, or if they just assume that, because it's eBay, it must be a bargain.

And Manky, although I really don't approve of sniping, try Auction Stealer

Ah, heard of that but wasn't sure what it was called. That's sneaky. I deliver to people who seem to buy their whole lives on Ebay -endless cardboard boxes arriving in the post, but as I said, it irritates me to the point where I steer clear of it now. Mind you, I was sorely tempted by a set of SU carbs for the Jag in Denmark! Ended up blagging a pair of twin choke Webers from Ska Man & another pair from Steve though for nowt.  Cheesy

People either just get auction fever or don't know where to look for the items they want. Earlier in the year I looked for a set of cannon  exhausts for the beetle trike. Someone paid £107 + I think £15 postage for a less than perfect set that you can get from big boys toys or £89 New!

But there are many bargains to be had. My tube bender which has 7 formers and guides cost £1650 new!!! (checked with manufacturer) Shocked Got it for £230 and the fuel to get me to lake Bala in Wales and back.
