Hmmmmm.
Not yet, but I'm finding other problems.

Got the left rocker cover off ok, but the bolt heads on the right one are rounded. On to plan B (cut them off and get new ones.)

I've found the water pump seal is leaking, (nasty little job involving heating the housing in the oven, then fitting the new seal. Ouch ouch ouch!) and the output shaft has a nasty wobble.

Just spotted a tatty cx with a "good" running engine for sale.
Thing is, I know the people who are selling it, they're straight.
Gotta look in the piggy bank, do some sums and head scratching.

Rebuild or replace?
Hmmmm.

Replace, then rebuild at your leisure?

yep, that way you get the trike on the road, and you can do a proper rebuild so the engine is like new....  well, you know... something like anyway!
