Nope, not yet. Got the latest Argos catalogue here somewhere so will have a look. Can you receive radio 7 online?

You can get BBC7 online on the Beeb's web site. I used to be able to play it in the office on my PC but can't any more for some reason.  Seems to work on the laptop (although not so convenient for lying in bed and listening to it!) and like most of the BBC's programme now you can listen again to programmes in the last week. Try it and see what you think...

I'll have a listen tomorrow evening. Tend to listen to the radio while I'm here & usually have radio 2 on on "Listen Again". Night night.

Looked at the remains of the old nipples.......no way I'm gonna get a stud extractor into that, and I'm not going near it with a drill. Shocked

.....so, there's more than one way to skin a cat.....(what a horrible adage...)

Calipers off, wedges between pads, turn callipers upside down, banjo bolt bleed nipples are now at the top. Lots of air bubbles out, jobs a good 'un. Grin

Just love it when a plan goes right. Wink

.....and four steps backwards........

CX500 (unbreakable trike motor) she go bang today.  Sad

Oh Shep!  That's bad news.

Have to say that's what I was told when I said I wanted a CX500 trike - that all those motors are getting way past it now and liable to......

Haven't had time to pull it apart yet, but 'best' bet would be a dropped valve.
From that point I'll let my imagination wander through snapped camchain, and so on.

But it's not siezed, actually it's the opposite. Dropped the driveshaft off, and can turn the engine over slowly by hand with the stub!  Absolutely no compression.

But hey! If I didn't want to get my hands dirty, I shouldn't have a trike with a 25 year old engine!

And I've always got the XJR. Grin

Ah the joys of motoring! Sounds like you've holed a piston maybe?
Perhaps not the time to ask, but how about a few piccies for the Motors section?!

Just check out my 7 litre Buick trike (BSH about 10 years ago). Water in frame, rear rad. The frame used to get bloody hot! There's a copy of the write-up on my "DD" site under "Trikes". Bloody copycats!!!!

Hee hee! Have a wander around the National Motorcycle Museum. There's several from the early 20th century in there with water in frame too. Nowt new under the sun is there. My frame occasionally got hot but was usually still touchable.
