We were talking about that at work the other day -what would you actually do if you won a few million?
I'd walk out of my little flat, without even bothering to shut the door & jump in a taxi to Heathrow, no luggage, just a passport & a credit card. First plane out of the country to a nice warm beach somewhere for a month or so. Then I think I'd spend my life travelling. Loads of places I'd like to see.
How about you?

Definately clear off and find a nice place with good facilities. Then just stay there for a while and let it all sink in.  I think anyone would have to have clear space to think for a while.

I'd like to see the States. I was supposed to be over there at the moment, but just couldn't afford it. Big drag race & hotrod meet in Bakersfield, California. Steve, ("Brock"),'s there. He's opened a PhotoBucket account & his hotel's got an internet cafe in the lobby so he's gonna try to email me some photos. I'll post them up if he manages it.

We have to book our hols at the Post Office ages in advance -I've got the form here at the moment for the hols between March 07 & March 08! I've got 6 weeks due to me. I booked these 2 weeks on the off-chance I'd have the money to go but didn't really think I would. Maybe next year.

 Cheesy
We start off with 4 weeks then you get an extra week after 15 years & another after 20. I've done 19 years but it'll be 20 by the time the new holiday season starts. Plus I'm owed a couple of odd days because some of this year's hols fell on Bank Holiday weeks.

20 years in the same job Shocked best I've done is 12.  Dont know how much longer I'll last on the library van, things are getting a bit silly.  New management and all that plus money problems, it's not the job it was when I started.

I've been working for my lot for about 15 years, and I'm really struggling to make myself carry on till next June - it's only the thought of my pension that does it!

aaaah, the pension, now theres a thing.  Apparrently council pensions are a bit good,  Mind you if I stay till I retire I'll have done 23 years and that should be worth having, but I dont know if I can stand it that long.

Post Office pension's supposed to be one of the last decent ones left -they'll probably stop it before I get that far.
Used to really enjoy the job, but same as everyone else, now it's not a service, it's a business. All about making money & penny pinching wherever possible. More & more work, huge deliveries, less & less time to do everything in -it's becoming a very stressful job. The Yanks have a saying don't they -"Going Postal", for running amok & wiping out half your workmates. I've been pushed nearly that far several times recently!
