For heavier walled tube or more structural steelwork, I'm with you Mr.T, stick welding is ideal,and often preferable when really good penetration is required. And using the modern "touch" rods, makes it simple too. But where Mig might be more applicable, use straight CO2, no need of fancy deposit prices, or for that matter refill prices. Once you "aquire" your "Pub" type bottle, refilling is as I have said, a mere £10/12!! simples! Morrag

gas now purchased and set up on welder could hardly afford the outlay this week (tough time,s) but it had to be done kit car chassis needs a few mods anyone up this area that needs gas or a bloody good trade motor factors i cant recomend A.E. COOK strongly enough good service good price,s , good vehicle knowledge and bl##dy nice staff to deal with..

hi, merv yeah sort of used the link but it didnt come up with any one anywhere near so i e,mailed them and they gave me the name of the nearest stockist which turned out to be a company i know off and used occasionally so it all worked out in the end

20ltr cylinder surcharge £70 + vat refill £54 + vat so that == £124 00 + vat vat = £ 24 80 so total = £148 80 it seams alot but no more rental,,no more ,,robbin contract,, and you get the ,surcharge back on return of cylinder and the suppliers agent is 10 mins down the road..
