I'm no expert so can only go on my own experience, but I've always used rigid props on my builds with no problems so far. As Terry says, I think you're in danger of over-thinking things here!

Okay I think you have convinced me that the route I was taking is the correct path and I think you are correct Manky I am over thinking things . It's probably because this is my first build I just want to get it right first time round . I also thank you again Steve for your offer of the prop but I should maybe direct the money needed for p+p towards finishing my trike off and buying the things that I definitely require . No doubt I shall have many other things I will have to pick your brains on but I feel comfortable I am in the right place to do it .
Cheers Steve

I hate when people compare Lemmy with God, i know he is great but he is not gonna be Lemmy, ever If your Dad hasnt got a beard, you've got two Mums there's no point it lookin' pretty if we can't drive it.

Steve. by the sound of it you don't know what you want. the comments and advice you are getting. is just our own views. and from them it will give you an idea of what other trike builders have done. with this information it will then give you a idea of what you want on your trike. theres no set procedure.it what your happy with. once you have made your mind up stick with it

I am only having a laugh with 'Chewie' Terry . My mind has been made up and the direction I had started to go down i.e solid prop has been confirmed . This build is a bike trike Steve , based around a Suzuki GS 650 GT . I was just making fun as this is the problem that has confronted me every time someone new saw my trike , do I go solid prop or sliding prop but as I said a few post's ago I am going with all those who have already successfully built a trike I have finally decided that the solid prop I have been building will remain . It was merely the fact that everyone seemed to have their opinion as to what was best and I just wanted a general consensus as to which way is correct because I didn't want to build something that would not be of any use and hinder the build further . So lets lay this to bed now LOL.
