Bet he'll negotiate!
Be daft to set the price too low - there's always someone who'll buy it and go round telling people they got it cheap at £100!

We've paid an average of 40 quid for axles for all our projects. SkaMan's got a complete car sat on his driveway awaiting stripping. He's using the engine in his trike, I've baggsied the gearbox cos I can't find a pre-engaged starter motor to go with my other box, plus there'll be a spare axle, propshaft etc. The whole car cost him 30 quid.

But generally speaking it's always that way - if you're prepared to take on a whole vehicle, which means you have to do the dismantling, and you're stuck with getting rid of the rubbish bits, then it usually comes a lot cheaper than buying the one bit you want!

Yup. I've got half a Sherpa van filling up my lock up at the moment. Bought it for the axles & steering assembly for my hotrod but haven't yet figured out a way of lifting it up, removing the bits I need, dropping it & getting rid of the unmovable carcass. Good job the trike's not ready yet cos I haven't got room in my garage for it!
