Still waiting on the carb kits, so started on the paint. Nice classic paint.............................

.............................with a twist!

Got a replacement right side panel, but it's longer than the left one, and just looked 'wrong', so ordered another left side to fit on the right

Carbs sorted, the float valves/body cured it straight away.

'Drained' the oil from the middle and final drive gearboxes, well I say drained, there was the smallest of amounts left in both, and was full of sludge, but no metal chips on the magplug, so flushed them both through, and re-filled with the correct amount of fresh gear oil.

Oh, and base colour on the tank!

Getting there with this now:

Some minor electrical problems. Indicators don't flash just come on steady, and front brake doesn't illuminate the brake light, although switch is good (just going to run a separate line, rather than taking the loom apart).
So really just got to get the tank paint finished, and sort out the exhaust and it should be good to go......................... which means there is loads of other niggles I haven't found yet to sort! Smiley Smiley Smiley

Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks buddy. Got it flashed up the other day, and runs sweet as a nut. Just the non-flashing indicators to sort, and paint on the tank and should be done. Paint may be slightly longer than I thought as I dislocated my thumb

Anyone have any idea why the indicators are refusing to flash?

Fitted a new (known good) flasher relay but still no flashy!! Come on fine, cancel fine, but no blinky-blinky.........

Non-led indicators fitted to it, so should be no problems there, and all original wiring used, except the addition of indicator warning lights as the original cluster was shot.

As an aside.............does it actually NEED indicators?

run a fly lead from the battery to the unit, see if it flashes. Spanners on here sorted mine out, something to do with to many watts, think I had big bulbs in the system, Mike had the details, I followed and it worked, cannot remember why now, sorry
