It's early evening here. Taz is sat outside in the garden, having a ciggie & checking her emails on her laptop. She's just shouted me to come outside quick. She'd heard a commotion, gone to investigate & found next door's cat had cornered a baby rabbit. It'd wedged itself head first into the corner of a fence & an out-building. I kept the cat at bay while Taz fetched some gloves from the shed. Managed to gently coax the little thing out & carry him to relative safety where the end of our wilderness garden meets the rest of the country estate we live on. Don't know if he'll survive the ordeal, but hopefully he'll sit tight in the long grass till his heart's stopped beating quite so fast then hop off.

Oh yes, we used to have a dwarf lop buck rabbit and the dog was terrified of him!

Prolly cos the bunny would s*** anything that moved - including the dog's back leg!  We had to have him neutered in the end cos he sprayed as well - he could spray your feet from six feet away while galloping past!  And believe me, tomcat spray has nothing on buck rabbit spray for stink!

I was out in the tractor yesterday topping the fields, (well all week I've been doing it) and one field is very badly overrun with the little fluffy things. Every clump of nettles I came bumbling up to sent them legging it across the field to the next clump. Well one little one was not quite quick enough to get out of the clump and I idin't see it, (nettles were about 2ft tall and very thick) and accidently ran it over, (saw it when I looked back to make sure I got all the weeds. Oops  Sad
