when you could get lengths of braided hose and ends with collets a the bike shop and not have to pay through the nose what do remember and miss 1p pop shop near the school etc wagon wheels when they was the size of your hand

No these were about 5ins long but just as narrow as sweet cigarets with no wrapping

My dad buying petrol for his A35 in 1962...and a shot of redex per gallon . 1 old penny per shot for the redex,and 3s 9d for the gallon of petrol!

(that's 50p to you!) hiya bobbie roughly what year was that??? only i seem to remember it at 70 pence ,,ish,, but bin trying to work out how long ago i do remember going on holiday when younger and dad saving a £10 pound note for emergancey,s and enough fuel to get home and take him to work till next pay day
