According to the Haynes manual, a standard Reliant in good tune will do approximately 50 to the gallon.
My last trike had a custom made aluminium tank, based on a King Sportster, & held something like 2 to 2 1/2 gallons. I used to check the mileage when I started out & stop every hundred miles to fill up & stretch my legs, without going onto reserve.

Excellent!!!!!!

Thankyou gentlmen.  Now I can try and source spare bits. (New lock for filler cap cover, fuel out-let thingy).

Mr Manky, can I send you three more pictures of the cleaned up tank......................

AND..... I've read your trike build, (starting from page 50 to present (Excellent), then started at page 1......where I found reference to the elusive 'Reliant manual'.  Have you any idea or could Ska Man post a link to the web site he got it from?
Been trying for months to pick one up from car-boot sales with no luck. Cry

On the pictures of the cleaned up tank, you can see where filler has been used to fill where probably the Honda logo was connected.

Thankyou TP.
Found it very theraputic, especially with the weather we had this weekend.

This tank seem's to have one off those 'push and turn' fuel caps draken1 talks about in his Kingsprster thread.

But this has a lockable cover.

Will that make it msva rule friendly.  Or was it the height of tank/fuel cap thats the problem?
