Yep,as usual ,another odd request from this old git! ...
I did ask this yonks ago ,but was never really happy with the outcome...so sit back and listen carefully!
Ive cut my dipstick tube down and also the dipstick itself, completely removing the markings. I know how much oil the engine takes, and therefore should be able to mark a ' full' notch on the dipstick, with full complement of oil in the engine,BUT ...I want to check if Ive got this right...SO..
Does anyone have a block with original dipstick tube and with sump removed? If so,with dipstick in the tube, fully 'home',I need to know....
1)the measurement from the u/side of block to the 'FULL' notch
2)and also from u/s block to the low oil mark (assume there is 2 notches on a Reliant dipstick?)
Underside of block being the flange that the sump bolts to.
Many Thanks
Rod
