So working backwards, the radiator. Cant remember what car its for we just went round to the local parts place and asked to look at all the rads out the back and chose this one as it had the most suitable inlet/outlets and no other connections. £33. Using the original mounting points made up a front and rear brackets.  D72 British Bellytank Front bracket.  D72 British Bellytank Rear bracket. |

The brackets will sit on top of the rear chassis tubes and be held down with jubilee clips.  D72 British Bellytank Front bracket.  D72 British Bellytank Rear bracket.  D72 British Bellytank |

Front rad mount, will be putting rubber bushes between the rad and the bracket holes.  D72 British Bellytank And the rear one in place. Just have to figure out how to plumb it up, but at lest we know where we are aiming for. And the battery.  D72 British Bellytank |

First saw that type of fixing on slingshot dragsters at the track, could not believe you were allowed to hold your engine in like that. Then looking at all the other cars and builds realised what is and isn't needed to make a car. Apparently you can use what ever you want to build a vehicle from as long as the safety cage is sound and the car can pass tech. Was originally going to use a massive piece of carved hardwood for the front rad bracket. |

Battery mounted in the most simple way possible, bits of angle and some 10mm studding.  D72 British Bellytank Clamp for top made out of flatbar.  D72 British Bellytank And done.  D72 British Bellytank Next the fuel tank, a prime example of what was to hand... |

And this is what we are using as a fuel tank. A pressure tank from a central heating system, Will probably hold about a couple of gallons so plenty for what we need. Will coat the inside with something (any ideas?) and the shove a piece of fuel tank foam inside to stop fuel sloshing around.  D72 British Bellytank |

Purchased a fuel tank cap and neck from Car Builder Solutions and made a plate to go on to tank.  D72 British Bellytank Welded in a fuel outlet on the bottom as well. Tank is steel and neck is ali.  D72 British Bellytank And done. Still need to put a breather pipe on the top and make a gasket for the Filler neck.  D72 British Bellytank |

That's unusual. I like it. Where will it go? Even with RWYB, the scrutineers won't allow fuel tanks directly above hot exhausts etc will they?

And the right way up.  D72 British Bellytank And fitted in the only space left. Made a bracket across the rear of the top rails and welded a couple of mounting studs on so we could use the tanks own mounting plate.  D72 British Bellytank |

Started thinking about the tank and 10/12 kilos of fuel and the way the tank mount was tack welded to the side, we modified the mount so tank is held by the neck as well.  D72 British Bellytank Looks a bit more secure like that.  D72 British Bellytank |

And the 3 of them together. The radiator was easy as plenty of room in the middle, the rear not so much. The battery is as far back as possible, infact we need to trim off the excess from the top of the mounting studs and the ends of the top plate as they are almost rubbing on the inside of the body and the tank, well the height of that was decided by its own mount and the cross brace. We (hopefully) made the neck to the correct height that it will sit just below a small flap at the rear of the body.  D72 British Bellytank |

Last 3 items that need mounts are the coil, the fuel pump and the expansion tank. The coil is fitted on the top of the nearside chassis tube just behind the fire wall.  D72 British Bellytank And the fuel pump is on the offside lower tube just below the fuel tank. Wanted to use a Holley pump but too expensive at the moment.  D72 British Bellytank |
