Great Dave. We've just got home after popping to the Ace for our tea then Via Richmond Park to get home on the A3. Haven't had a chance to load up the photos yet.

My snaps now online here:

http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/Photos/krispykreme18.10.09/words.html

A good turnout for a crisp, ("Krispy Kreme?), Autumnal Sunday morning. Like the Guildford Cruise, the meet only lasts a couple of hours, so you need to get there when it starts at 10, or you'll miss most of the action. The street outside the drive-through donut shop was buzzing with all sorts of gorgeous machinery, but by around 12 noon it was all over. We sat in the shop, munching donuts & slurping coffee at lunchtime & you'd never know the rods had been there. While they were though, smokey burnouts & long trails of rubber on the tarmac seemed to be the order of the day. The air was filled with the smell of freshly cooked donuts & rubber smoke.  Smiley

I must admit, if it were kids in hatchbacks doing this, I'd shake my head & tutt disapprovingly.  Angry
Beautifully restored Escort van had a full rollcage in the back. A lot more of these old skool, 70s Fords appearing now. I guess they're British classics.
Funny to watch the yellow pick-up completely envelope the bus behind it in rubber smoke. The bus driver had a huge grin on his face but not sure the passengers were amused.

Pro street, tubbed & roll-caged Anglia was new to me & absolutely gorgeous.

Rodded Riley tourer was unusual but leant itself to mild rodding well. Possibly Rover V8 powered.

Our own Dave Two Lanes in his big, bad, black '68 Charger. This is the car that hooked Taz & led to her buying her own, after Dave let her take it for a spin. It's all his fault! Nice to see you again Dave.

High riding Consul's a favourite of mine. Love the way it bounces up & down on it's suspension when the throttle's blipped.
