Is there any difference between makers on fork oil. Looking at different fork oils i notice they come in weights, what would be a good all round weight to use on an st1100 that's being turned into a trike.

I used engine oil in my trike forks to stiffen them up a little. No problems with seals etc & seemed to reduce the nose diving.

If it says grade 1 oil it's most likely a very thin ( soft ) and if it's grade 10, ( thicker ) it will be a firmer ride ?
