Help!......cant remember how I used to wire alternators........One wire from battery to the larger terminal on the alternator,but Im sure theres another wire from a smaller terminal on the alternator,cant think where it goes tho! Anyone?

It goes from ignition switch live to a bulb, then to the terminal. easy.
