Used to go to the Wheels Day when it was at Slyfield Green, Guildford, late 70's.....   8)
whereas some of my mates used to go to Brands to see the Transatlantic Motorcycle racing which was also always on Good Friday............ now that was a fair old while ago  ::)

I did the Transatlantic one year with a bunch of my bike club mates. They were all into racing. I was into custom bikes, so not really my thing.
Used to go to the Wheels Day show when it was in the cattle pens at Slyfield Market though. Odd, I was only talking about those days to someone a few days ago.

Grrr. We haven't got Christmas out the way yet and already somebody is mentioning Easter! Bah Humbug and b*gg*r Easter Bunnies (and no, that isn't a suggestion).

Only joking Tony. You really are on the ball.  Let's hope next year's season has kinder weather and we actually have events to go to.  Mind you, Wheels Day is always fun, regardless of what the weather throws at us.

Not being a fan of the whole Jingle Bells thing, I'm happy to hear of any event the other side of the festive season.  :) 

...... 2012's Good Friday was luverleee sunshine  ;D.............. just nice dreaming of that big warm yellow thing in the sky, daylight at tea time, and loads of custom & classic vehicles (and easter eggs of course!) .............

What's UTC? A bit tight, but I really want to be driving my truck there this year. Got to have all the registration paperwork done by the week after that at the latest or the test certificate will expire, so one way or another, we have to be ready by then.

March is upon us and it the Surrey Street Rodders' Wheels day at the end of the month on Good Friday.

Hopefully our illustrious leader will be there to debut his truck ( 8)) ??, so who else is planning to take a long a vehicle, or simply spectate?

We'll all be there, unfortunately no xs due to no job again, but it's pretty much close enough to walk to.

All back to Archie's place for a cuppa & a nice slice of madeira afterwards then!

That's a shame. I don't drink, so that doesn't bother me, but I like to listen to the bands. The Cadillac Kings played there a couple of years ago & were great.
Is that a stipulation from the Ministry of Defence, who own the land?

Will be due to licensing laws and possibly not being granted a licence in time

I thought that the law had changed regarding music licences, which is why our event does not now need one.
I've also heard that the Bushe cafe's going to be open later on that day. Don't know weather it's true, but I'll try to find out more.
