1926 Brough Superior SS100 getting prepped for its race.
The chap on the phone is Ewan Cameron (one of two riders) who runs a business making JAP engine parts.

1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Sunday Barry Sheene Memorial race (a race where the bikes is swopped between riders part way through), doing the appreciation lap.
Proper stuff, two riders on each bike, no helmets waving to folk who enjoy good racing only a matter of yards away.
Bike 12 – Ian Bain and James Hillier on a 500cc 1953 Manx Norton single. Bike 1 – Glen English and John McGunness also on a 500cc 1953 Manx Norton single. Bike 11 – Victors Troy Corser and Herbert Schwab on a 1929 (yes 1929) BMW R57 Compressor 498cc opposed twin. This bike has no rear suspension, front suspension via a leaf-spring and gear change is by hand as it’s on the left side of the petrol (tho Troy Coser used his left hand throughout the race)

The infamous 1967 Eagle-Weslake 1 car of the late, great Dan Gurney. Dan passed away in January of 2018, and on top of his many, many driving achievements, he was a supporter of the Goodwood Revival. This car was given a special place at the 2018 Revival and was demonstrated (driven around the track) by Jackie Stewart (with no other cars running). Considered to be one of the most beautiful Formula 1 cars ever build. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvQ2FB0X9Lkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ze4qvI8nsd0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch31vM-y8Tghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxInpDSzRighttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfGMPOSinOA

One race, the Kinrara Trophy, was said to have a grid value of around £2,000,000!
I think you're a couple of noughts short there, Tony!!

One of the characteristics of the Cortina when pushed hard was the inside front wheel would lift, the white Cortina has around an inch of air under its front wheel.
That's how you can tell they have a limited slip diff in there.

Cortina #10 had a huge crash (barrel roll) at St Mary's corner in Sunday's St Mary's Trophy Part 2. Driver was OK, but car was very poorly.

We are all greatful for your effort with these pictures - thanks. I liked the number on the front of the gt 40... Also, I would have said ewan cameron was younger - are you sure that's him? Maybe I was talking to his son, or perhaps we'd had a few beers too many by then....

Ta for your thanks Yeah, that's Ewan, maybe it was the beer after all Used to see him at motorcycle sprints run by the VMCC Sprint Section at Wroughton, and saw him as he was riding at the 2013 Pendine bike meeting too. Link has a couple of pics of Ewan's bikes at Wroughton a few years ago. http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=9564.0
