Afternoon dobber, I didnt get a repair kit mate decided I would see if they were okay first as the prices I did find were around £40 a kit. Can get calipers for not a lot more on eBay hence deciding to try them first.

Cant look at ebay at work but will have a look tonight, £12 is worth doing definately. Must admit when I was looking round they were in very short supply, which is why I asked on here where you get them from. There are different models though from what I remember, mine are the smaller pistons I think.

I haven't done the golf piston seals but have done piston seals before and they were easy enough, just make sure everything is clean as with all thinks brake fluid related Wink

Cant remember what it was now but mine have a stamp on them if I recall properly. Then again I may have verniered the piston but I am fairly sure there was a number.

hi nabsim. company said its 36 or 38 mm on the vw caliper. just been measuring the caliper piston. i would have said it was 36 mm but turned it round and a big 38 is cast on it. the kit for the 38mm piston can be found by typing in 3816 in the search box on ebay,  down for the colarado vw.. gonna phone them in the morning, double check and order by phone.
