Might be of interest:

I have been watching a TV programme called Brokenwood Mysteries which is based in New Zealand (filmed in the Auckland region). The main detective drives this old car and I kept trying to read the name of it. In the end I Googled it. It turns out it is a Holden Kingswood.  Huh  In the programme it is a 1971 model. Has anyone heard of this make and/or model?

Here is a link for anyone who wants to know more:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_Kingswood

Below, is the car from the show:

I think the detective driving the car said the exact model & year in the first episode........

Holden is part of GM / General Motors.

There always a big thing in aussie saloon car racing as its basically Holden Vs Ford

Yep Holden is part of GM, I've driven driven a Kingswood wagon (estate in UK)
The one I drove had a 6 cylinder in line petrol engine, coupled to a 3 speed manual box, with gear change on the steering column, only relay needed 2nd and 3rd loads of torque.
Still a few of them as daily drivers here in Oz

We used to have a forum member called Sinner who lived in Oz. His '64 EH Holden station wagon's featured on the main site:

My brother in law always drove a Holden, he got his first one in 1969 when they first move out there. And he still has one, but its getting a bit long in the tooth now.

I'm at my Mum's and it is something she has taped. I haven't seen all of them. Mum worries more about the clues than the car.  Smiley

I did look to see if any were for sale to see if they still change hands. Some around 8000 Australian Dollars but a couple of sellers wanted over 30000.
