A CX500 combo? Didn't know there were any CXs left alive out there.

Must admit I'm doubtful about his comment that the 30,000 on the clock is believed to be genuine - more likely 130,000!
I borrowed a CX years ago when my GT was off the road for a while and loved it. Outfit would solve the falling over problem, and the clutch on those is sooooo much lighter than the GT! And it's cooool!

I don't remember CXs ever being described as cool, but I agree, there's something appealing about the quirkiness of sidecars. Never ridden one but been pillion on a bike with a chair. It was an ..interesting ride.

First sidecar I ever rode was in 2010 and it was a vintage V twin AJS. The second sidecar was 10 mins later, and that was Brough Superior – now that was cool........

Think I may go to the Sidecar meet at Popham next year and see if I can get a go on one.

Outfits are my first love but most of my mates just couldn't get used to turning the bars and not leaning. If I could afford to put a big outfit together how I wanted I would have it before my trikes. Get to the gathering Bobbi and have a look round

I saw this 2CV chair at Brooklands a few years ago and it caused a real stir, why? Not because the skeleton was sitting on, no, Because the skeleton was riding it!!! The pilot sits in the chair behind blacked out windows (so you don’t know he’s there) and via a linkage set up he was driving the thing around the site, with the skeleton on the bike, hands on bars, feet on pegs etc!! I wonder if they're both built by the same guy. I saw the Reliant one at the BMF show in Peterborough a few years ago. It ran a Reliant engine in the bike frame, hooked up to a Ural/Cossack gearbox, with a heavily cut n shut Reliant car body as the sidecar. The Citroen looks to be the same idea -Citroen engine in the bike with narrowed Citroen bodied sidecar. What a great way to recycle an old car into something cooler! Some very clever body mods too.
