Only one thing niggling me about this build, and it's just a safety thing..I would have made the hoop that supports the steering column stronger with some bracing, either tubing or gussets ( with holes of course ) ..please don't take it as a criticism ..it's a lovely build and like Mr M says shame it's all hidden..WELL DONE SIR..

Please don't refrain from commenting on anything you see that we may have missed, all suggestions are helpful. Will have another look at the brace in the morning as you may be right. Sometimes you are so concentrated on one item you can't see the obvious boo-boo you are about to make.

They were only 'little ones' you should see the 'Track Measures' we consume at the race track. And apparently 'you and the welder become one' after a couple of drinks and welds just flow, according to Mr Conner.

Had some edge trim left over so trimmed up the edges on the floor plate and fitted into chassis. D72 British Bellytank D72 British Bellytank Also collected parts from the powder coaters. D72 British Bellytank And bolted on the first piece. D72 British Bellytank And then got carried away and threw the rest on to see how it looks. D72 British Bellytank D72 British Bellytank D72 British Bellytank D72 British Bellytank And celebrated with this, very nice. D72 British Bellytank

Once again sir, do have any bracing for the radius rods where they attach to the chassis ? Lots of stress in that area ? looking good though ?

Well spotted on the bracing, there is supposed to be a brace between the two out riggers, front to back. Has not been fitted yet as we still have the lower air intakes to fit on the body and did not want to have them in position until that was done. Was also going to put a plate below the front out rigger at the same time. The rear out riggers and arms are just for show really as the axle is solidly mounted. Been thinking about the front steering wheel cross bar, which will be getting an extra brace as we need a couple off tabs up there for some electrical items which we forgot about anyway. Won't take long and a bit of paint and we shall be back on track.
