Title: Basingstoke Festival of Transport 2010
Post by: Manky Monkey on December 17, 2009, 12:44:48 PM
The date for the 2010 Basingstoke Council/Thorneycroft Society festival of transport is set for Sunday the 9th of May, from 11am to 5pm, at the War Memorial Park, just off junction 6 of the M3, Basingstoke, Hants.
http://www.basingstoke.gov.uk/leisure/events/thornycroft/
We pick this show for a bit of a forum get-together, for no other reason than I used to live in Basingstoke. It's quite an informal affair -just turn up, park your vehicle in the designated area & kick back & enjoy the day. Jointly organised by Basingstoke council & the Thorneycroft vehicle preservation society, it attracts about 800 vehicles & 18,000 visitors for the afternoon. We need to have our pitch application in by the start of April & will try & get a bigger area than last year's 40 by 80 foot pitch if we can so we can spread out a bit more. We average a couple of dozen vehicles of all descriptions. So we'll need a list of those who'd like to bring a vehicle along please. A bit early yet I know, but if you have something a bit different, 2, 3 or 4 wheeled, & fancy showing it off for the day, let us know. Entry to the show for both visitors & exhibitors is absolutely free. We've had a few unfinished projects on show before & they attract just as much interest as the finished ones -people are fascinated to see what goes on "behind the scenes" of a vehicle build. Obviously you need to arrange your own transport for whatever you bring along though.
For some reason we never got round to adding a write-up to the photos of last year's show, so here's the 2008 version to give you some idea of what's involved:

I might make it this year but whether it'll be with a trike or just me I really don't know.

As discussed, I may be there with my own 'pitch' trying to drum up some business! If that doesn't come off then I may come on the Vespa, just to add some class to your stand!!!! :D :D

Do you need public liability insurance to participate?

We don't but I'm sure the organisers will have it. We just turn up & make the place look untidy for the afternoon, then go home again.   :P

twolanes are yer gonna set 'em up as if they're on the start line, that would make for a good crowd puller

We've fired up the drag cars for the last couple of years, which is a real crowd pleaser. Last year though, we got politely asked not to do it again by the organisers, who were worried about health 'n' safety, public insurance, the wrath of their partners the local council etc. When we put in our entry again this year I'll ask very nicely if we can start the cars, but not really expecting them to say yes.
Every year we've done this show so far, I've ended up having to rent huge trailers to get all the unfinished projects there. I swore mine would all be road worthy this time, but, of course, they probably won't be. So if we can, we'll take Taz's unfinished Charger with us. Should be interesting to show a part built & finished one side by side.

the good, the bad & if i stand next to them .................the new car shouldn,t be as loud as the altered as it has a different exhaust system on it, still open though. We might have to rope it off though as the paint work is a lot better.

Received the entry form for this in the post this morning -they're obviously a lot more organised than we are.
Entry forms have to be handed back in by the 1st of April, so have a think about it. If you think you can definitely join us for the day, let us know please.

O.K, maybe time to start drawing up a list then.
We always get the date wrong & hand our form in at the end of April instead of the start
-O.K, I always get the date wrong. So I end up having to grovel to the organisers for a pitch. Never quite sure whether they work the pitch size out by allowing a certain area for each vehicle, then multiplying it by the number of vehicles we say are coming -or whether they just give us whatever room they have spare.
So I don't think there's a limit to how many cars/trikes/bikes we can display, but we can't guarantee how much room we'll have on the day.
So. Here goes then. Definite attendees only please. Unfinished vehicles just as welcome as fully up & running ones, but you'll need to sort out your own transport to get them to Basingstoke & back. We tend to just park up & sit around eating cake, but there's a small trophy for the best club display, so if anyone wants to volunteer a theme for our pitch, feel free. Just cut & paste the list & add your name & vehicle to the bottom.

;D I've been trying to get my trike finished for that show for the last 4 years Marc!
We'd love to see you, whether it's finished or not. As I said, we always have a couple of "works in progress" on show & the public seem to be fascinated by them. So if you can arrange a trailer or van, bring the trike along, whether it's complete or not.

We've now got our vehicle passes for the show, (I deliver the mail to one of the organisers, so he handed them to me yesterday).
I got 30 passes. About 2 dozen vehicles on the list at the moment, so room for a couple more if you fancy joining us. If not, it'll give the rest of us a little more room to spread out in.
If you've not been before, this is a vehicle show, open to any & every form of transport, jointly organised by the Thornycroft Society & Basingstoke council. Thornycrofts were a big local employer at one time, famous for building "Antar" tank transporters & other heavy haulage machines, so there'll be lots of them on show, as well as buses, military vehicles, classic cars, motorcycles etc. There's also an autojumble, childrens fairground rides, food stalls etc.
Around 2,000 vehicles on display & an estimated 18,000 visitors. The show's held in the Memorial Park in Basingstoke, Hants, (less than a mile from junction 6 of the M3). It's completely free to enter vehicles & for visitors, but as it's growing bigger every year, the council have now opened up a nearby field for parking, with a £2 fee.
We choose this one as an excuse for our annual forum get-together simply because I used to live in Basingstoke.
All 3 of the vehicles Taz & I will be showing are unfinished projects. Doesn't matter, if you've got something of interest that's far enough built for the general public to recognise what it is, bring it along. We've found in previous years that Joe Public is fascinated by the "behind the scenes" side of custom building & a bare metal trike frame often gets as much interest as a finished machine. Obviously you'll need to arrange your own transport if you bring along a non runner though.
The show runs from 11am till 5pm, with all vehicles to be on site by 10.30. Sunday 9th May.
Look forward to seeing you.  ;)

It'll be good to catch up mate. Welcome back.  ;)
No idea how much room we'll be allocated on the day, or what shape our pitch will be, but we're thinking probably a row of cars up each side, angled in at 45 degrees with the 2 drag cars on the front corners, then bikes front centre & trikes behind? It tends to be a bit of a free for all, with everyone just parking where they can, then us trying to shuffle them about to show everyone's vehicle as best we can later.
Maybe this year we should get more organised!

Oh, now you want to join our gang eh!
-no problem Bobbette.  ;)
I'm sure we can get more vehicle passes if needed, (to be honest, we've never needed to show them so far. Everyone just says I'm with the Monkeys & gets waved in the gate). Can't guarantee we'll get a bigger pitch though, depends how much room the organisers have I suppose. So we may all have to budge up a bit.

Title: Re: Basingstoke Festival of Transport 2010
Post by: Manky Monkey on April 06, 2010, 09:10:03 AM
All show vehicles have to be onsite by 10.30am, Sunday 9th May.
The Memorial Park, Basingstoke, Hants, just off junction 6 of the M3, follow the yellow Festival Of Transport signs, RG21 4AG.
The show runs from 11am till 5pm, but it's a public park, with half a dozen entrances & the show's free, so Joe Public can wander in whenever they want to.
Obviously, we're not particularly organised. It's just a matter of turning up, shuffling the vehicles around a bit to try & show everyone's off as best we can in the space we're given, then the day's your own. It'd be nice if owners can be on hand at some point to answer questions about their vehicles from the public, but we don't expect you to sit with us all day.
Go check out the rest of the show, browse the autojumble, buy a burger, play on the kiddies swings, look at the birds in the park's aviary -whatever.
Basingstoke town centre's a 5 minute walk away, so you can nip over there for lunch in one of the cafes -bring us back some donuts if you do.  ;)

Because I am not that good on my pins, I found this event quite difficult last year as the grounds are so big.  Basingstoke Shopmobility were there but by the time I realised, all the scooters had been taken. This year I have already rung them and booked a scooter (£8 for the day but that includes the £5 reg fee that allows me to hire from them for a year).  I don't know if anyone else is in the same position but I thought I would let you know about this just in case.  Their number is 01256 476066.

Anyone know what the date for this event is for next year?

JJ  :)

9th May this year, Haven't seen a date for next year yet, but I deliver the mail to one of the organisers, so I'll ask him. He told me this morning that the club section of the show's now full & the other sections are almost full too. The show's jointly organised by Basingstoke council & the Thornycroft lorry society. Apparently one guy's bringing a 1904 Thornycroft car all the way from Scotland.
Presumably Chevy Rick's displaying his truck in the commercial section again this year? You're very welcome to bring your trike along JJ - I still haven't seen it in the flesh yet.

Unfortunately Voodoo & his good lady can't make it -he's just realised they're on holiday on that date. Bugger.

Hiya Archie -& welcome to Mankyland. This is where I live when I'm not lurking in the back of Loony's workshop.  :P
No problem, we'll add you to the list. Just out of interest, what model & year's Tom's truck?
We also now have Jacko, on his trusty Desperate Dans Preying Mantis VW trike, plus a couple of his triking mates, including Basil on his V8 Chevy powered trike.
I spoke to one of the show organisers today. Every year they say they're going to insist all vehicles display a vehicle pass, then they always just wave us all through the gates. This year, they actually are, (it keeps their insurers happy). So I've ordered a few more, just to be on the safe side. Rather than trying to post them all out, we'll contact you all beforehand & give you our mobile numbers. Give us a ring when you arrive on the day & we'll nip up to the gate with a pass for you.
George, the organiser, said we can have more vehicles on our pitch, but we can't have a bigger pitch because they're now full up & have stopped taking more entries. Our bit has a frontage of 60 feet. Not sure how far back it goes. Hopefully that'll be big enough.

Dizzy, we'll give you our mobile numbers beforehand. If you make it on the chop, give us a shout when you get to the gate & we'll nip up with a vehicle pass so you can put the bike on our pitch.  ;)

So what're these then? 2mm steel plates with spikes welded to them.
They're A4 sized display boards. When you arrive at the show site, we'll give you a spec' sheet & a pen to fill it out with -just the basics, owner's name, vehicle model, engine size, etc, with a space for you to add any points of interest. Then we'll attach them to the boards & push 'em into the ground in front of the vehicles. Gives the punters some basic info but small enough that they won't get in the way of anyone's photos.
Taken me all afternoon to make 36 of 'em!

Thanks for the offer Cabman. We plan to demolish the shed eventually & build a new one twice the size. So don't really want to spend too much effort water-proofing this one, but also need to keep the contents dry. Might try a big tin of bitumen painted over what's left of the felt.

As usual with these things, we've lost a couple of entrants for the Basingstoke show. Dave Two Lanes is bringng the drag car but can't bring his Dodge Charger, (shame cos we wanted to check it out again for info on Taz's one).
Looks like we've also lost Postie-Dave's mark 2 Consul. Again, a shame. I like Dave's cars cos they're like Renegade's Triumph -well used daily drivers, not highly polished show cars.
StrokerBlue's RoadRunner's looking unlikely too.
Not so many cars on our pitch this year, but more bikes & trikes. Still room for a couple more if anyone wants to join us. We'll be ringing round everyone in the next couple of days to check/nag you.  ;)

Yeah, come along mate. Unfinished projects are fine. As we keep saying, the punters seem to like to see the "behind the scenes" bits of a build. Most show goers only see the finished result & have no idea how it gets to that point. All 3 of our own projects will be part done.

Mine is looking a bit manky at present (as opposed to Manky!) but I hope to wield a rattlecan before the weekend - don't think the punters will be very impressed with rust!

Mine doesn't look so bad now I've washed it - good thing I did thought, the rear light bracket is broken and so is the light mounting.  Cobbled it together with a bungee and a couple of cable ties but I reckon I'm going to be looking at finding an assembly on Ebay.  Wasn't like that when I took it to the workshop - on the other hand, I didn't notice it when I collected so can't say when it happened.  Hey ho, another little problem to sort.  I hate having to put it in a workshop for repair - happily I've recently heard that a bloke I know has set up in business fixing bikes so It'll go there next time.

I vote for the Saltster, cos we haven't seen it in the flesh yet.

Either Taz or I will be at the park from about 8am, (all vehicles have to be in place by 10.30 latest). It's really not a huge organised event, so don't worry too much. In previous years the marshals on the gate have just waved everyone through, but I'm told they'll be looking for the passes this year, (the show's run in conjunction with the local council & regulations say every vehicle should be accounted for).
We'll have the passes with us, so just give us a ring on the mobile numbers when you get to the gate & we'll nip up to meet you.
My email's decided to play up today, but we'll be contacting everyone this evening with our mobile numbers & final details for tomorrow. Hope you can all make it.

My number hasn't changed Clive so you're ok with the one you have. I'll pm everyone I can now with both mine and Andy's numbers then you should be able to reach at least one of us. I normally end up walking down the queue of cars to get in, passing out passes but that will be in Andy's hands as I'll be ferrying vehicles about with our massive trailer first thing. Right, now for mass pm'ing.

Nope, we've ordered 8 hours of sub tropical. Should kick in half an hour before the show starts.
Right, trikes are lashed to the trailer & various bits n bobs are packed in both cars.
Just time for a couple of hours sleep before we have to be up again at 5am to feed the horses before we get underway.
Look forward to seeing you guys in the morning.  ;)

Well the praying and such didn't do a lot of good cos the sun didn't manage to get through the clouds but the rain held off apart from a few spots and I reckon a good day was had by all!  I even got home dry in spite of the clouds looking rather threatening.

Good to meet you all, the ones I've met before and the ones I haven't - learnt a few names to faces today but talked to a lot that I have no idea who they are - maybe we should have had name badges!

Glad you all had a good day even the weather wasn't it's best.
Thank you all so very much for coming and making the day what it was as without you lot we wouldn't have had much of a pitch.
Our day isn't completley over yet as Andy got a bit of something, (probably metal), in his eye last night and now starting to irritate him so having a quick cuppa then off to A & E for the rest of the night.

He just wants to say a personal very big THANK YOU to everyone who came along today, whether you showed a vehicle or just came up and said Hello.
We both tried to make sure we spoke to everyone, but if we missed you, thank you.
As we said last year, other clubs may have had posher exhibits, but we had all the cool stuff!

Hi All,

I had a great day and even though the weather sucked (after the forecast on my telly said sun, sun, sun - note to self - don't believe them next time) it was still great to meet more Mankies and put some more faces to names.  Thanks to Tanya and Andy for all the organisation they put into the event.

I am safely home but my brakes failed just as I came off the M27 and I had a few hairy moments.   :o  There are probably some car drivers now telling some interesting anecdotes about their journeys yesterday and the kamikaze triker.  When I eventually pulled up (should I rename my trike and call it a Prius?) bolts were also missing out of the right hand panel which I only put back on, on Saturday night - really tightly - so I can only surmise the distant I did at a consistent 60/70 (I have done that speed before on the trike but only for short periods) was too much for the trike and the vibration not only took out the bolts but also caused the flange off the brake hose (leading from the reservoir) to snap off.  Flexible hose to replace it I think plus I must get the front brake calliper sorted as that could also have put pressure on the braking system.  Very nice RAC man brought me home.  Rather than call out a trailer he towed it backwards using their inbuilt tow dolly.  The trike's wheels were just wide enough to fit the dolly on its narrowest setting.  Funnily enough it was the same bloke who came out to me just after I bought the trike and he remembered it.  I told him I had followed his advice and now carried a condenser and a set of points with me in case of problems but they hadn't done me much good this time.  :)  Yes, he was really good and he was out to me in just 20 minutes.  Chevy Rick made me a nice cuppa while we waited (the benefits of having the picnic stuff with us) and Alfie slept through the drama but he did let me cuddle up to him and doze off while the RAC man and Rick got the trike on the dolly.  I love them both to bits - Rick and Alfie I mean but I was so grateful to the RAC man I reckon he wasn't too far behind.  ;D

It was definitely scary and I am still a bit upset by it because even though I am safe I keep thinking what could have happened.  I am sure I will get over it.  Mind you, my family want me to sell it now.  With hindsight I should have hit the handbrake but it is not the easiest to get to especially when trying to keep your wits about you and miss other traffic and all I could think it would do was to spin me around and throw me off.  Too many action films with handbrake turns influenced me there I think and I have since been told that if I had just applied it slowly and as long as the handbrake was linked to both rear wheels (not just the one) I would have been alright.  I will remember that for next time.  ::)  All I can hope is that I am on a par with a cat when it comes to lives, as in the past two years I reckon I have exhausted 5 of them!

Thanks again for a good day.

JJ  :)

Hi JJ. glad you are ok. me and snafu. were only talking about the brakes on some reliant engine trikes on sunday.that being linked on a single system master cylinder. if it fails you have no brakes. possible idears were dual system cylinder. or a separate brake lever on handle bars for front brake.as you get on a motor bike. it was nice to talk to you and all the other mms on sunday take care  terry

I've always been happy to have the original Reliant brakes on the rear and the oroginal bike brake on the front - now I'm delighted that I have!

Just shows there's reason for the rules asking for two seperate systems!

Hi guys.
Sorry I haven't been here since the show on Sunday.
As Taz said, I managed to get a speck of metal in my eye while sanding paint off her trike frame the night before the show -yeah, I was wearing goggles. Wasn't painful but bothered me all day at the show, giving me blurred vision in one eye. After several people had peered at it during the day & said Ooh, you ought to get that seen to, I decided maybe I ought to get it seen to.
So having finally returned our various projects to their various homes & locked the rented trailer up for the night, we set off to the local Accident & Emergency department. The very nice A & E man poked me in the eye with a stick, then gave me a pirate eye patch to wear -cool!
He also gave me a tube of antiseptic cream to rub in my eye a couple of times a day. Unfortunately the first time I used it, it made my vision so blurry I felt physically sick. I must be sensitive to balance problems cos I had a similar experience with an ear infection a few years ago. Felt like being drunk, with the room swirling every time I moved. Luckily it was my day off yesterday, but I spent it doing as little as possible, waiting for the effect to wear off. Finally went to bed early just so I could shut my eyes.
So apologies for not being here straight after the show to personally thank you all for coming along, but I think Taz has said it all -you guys are all little stars & we luvs every one of you.  :-*

Post by: Manky Monkey on May 11, 2010, 10:27:42 PM
All fixed now thanks dave.  ;)
Very few photos from me I'm afraid. Ironic as we're known as the people who take millions of snaps at every show we go to, but I hardly had time to get away from our own pitch all day, plus the blurry vision thing didn't help -the camera was on auto focus. How come my piccies are still blurred? I've got just a few random snaps of our pitch, as people arrived & left, which makes it look empty. Hopefully our roving reporters will get back to us with a better representation of the rest of the show.
Yes, there's an awful lot of running about beforehand, desperately trying to organise things, chasing people for favours, sorting out transport for our perpetually unfinished projects etc, but it's worth every minute of it when you lot start rolling in.
A couple of last minute cancellations & a break down for one of Goforest's VW beach buggy troop, but otherwise all present & accounted for. I know it's just a little local show & the weather wasn't on our side early in the morning, but we were so proud to have you all there. Yeah, we may have been the scruffy bunch in the corner of the club field, but I reckon we gave the big money classic car clubs a run for their money. We definitely had all the cool stuff! As several people observed, we had a wider selection of interesting vehicles than every other stand. Others may have had neat rows of lovingly polished cars, all the same in different colours, but we had drag cars, hotrods, trikes, bikes, quads, Yanks, Brits ...a bit of everything. I can't believe you lot all made the effort to get there for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. We had vehicles from the West country, the South Coast, Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Essex, even Hertfordshire.
We started off trying to arrange you all in neat rows but that just ain't us is it. Despite my efforts to shuffle things around into some semblance of order, it pretty soon slid into our usual chaotic mish mash of machines. Ah well, just go with the flow. The 6 man crack gazebo building team struggled valiantly with poles & canvas & no instructions, more Dads Army than commando team, to eventually produce a passable imitation of a tent -which promptly tried to blow away. Good job I'd made a handful of tent pegs the night before. Somehow we managed to end up with 4 spare poles & a box of canvas left over. We filled it with comfy chairs & donut supplies & it became home for the afternoon -the gazebo, not the cardboard box, though that may have been more structurally sound.
The drizzly start to the day slowly cleared & although we didn't get the scorching heatwave of last year's show, it was warm enough for a family of punters to stop for a picnic on the grass in front of Ken's Corvette. The 11.o.clock start time soon came around & from then on it was non stop until late afternoon. Familiar faces appeared from the crowds to say Hello. Other forum members came over to say hello. Complete strangers came up to say Hello. A thousand conversations were had, hands were shaken, donuts were munched -this socialising business is hard work!
As far as I could see, every vehicle on our pitch attracted it's fair share of interest. An awful lot of photos were taken by the general public & they weren't shy about stopping us & asking questions. Someone pointed out that most of the other car clubs there consisted of a row of shiny machines & a small tent full of owners who had no interest in engaging with their audience, preferring to ignore the public & chat amongst themselves. The Manky crew actively encouraged Joe Public to come & take a look though. Dave Two Lanes in particular deserves an honourable mention for his tireless showmanship -come & have a sit in my dragster little boy -well, he had a queue of eager lads waiting their turn all day anyway.
The weather may have kept visitor numbers down -they certainly didn't match the 20,000 of last year, but I reckon every one of them found their way to us eventually & would've discovered something there to interest them.
Well done chaps. We're very, very proud of you all.

Great to meet Snafu, who arrived with his Reliant trike, originally built by me, then owned by Ska Man, before passing to Snafu. Nice to see it's still out & about. Getting on for 10 years old now.
Also good to chat to Baz, (Aries Snake), again, here with Snafu.

One of the first to arrive. One of the last to leave. Every year it seems to end with a big empty field & a trike.
Next year we'll be organised!
Thanks again everyone.

Everybody who displayed a vehicle at the show got a small commemorative plaque. They were available from the organiser's tent by showing your vehicle pass. We collected as many as we had passes for & handed them out to those who were still there. I'd show you one, but we handed out our own one too. If anyone missed out, let us know please & we'll try to get a few more from the organisers.

Yeah, they did us proud Mike.
Did anyone see the Thornycroft car? One of only a handful ever built. 1907 I think. Built in Basingtoke. Even the Thornycroft preservation group, who organise the show, hadn't seen it before. Thornycrofts were known for heavy haulage lorries rather than cars, but this tourer was very stylish. Driven from Tonbridge Wells for the day -Shaun you could've hitched a lift!

The one low spot of the day came when Big Darren realised some thieving magpie had stolen the blue anodised fuel cap from his quad bike. It's a sad reflection of modern society that there are morons out there who'll do that, even though they've probably got no use for it themselves.
Several makeshift caps were tried, including this rather natty one made of a Jaffa Cake tube lid & sticky tape, before PD came to the rescue with the cap from a water container, so Darren could ride home.

We feel kinda responsible for this, especially as it was Darren's first time at the show. We've never had anything go missing before, but I guess that's a risk you take at a show open to the general public.
We took along a trophy, which we'd intended to award to the Mankiest machine of the day. Predictably though, we weren't that organised.
So we've decided to hand it to Darren as a Hard Luck trophy. Let's hope we don't need another next year.

Not going to end on a downer though, so I'll say Well Done to all of you & we'll be happy to see you all there again next year.  ;D

JJ, I'm very glad you got home safely, but I've run linked front & back brakes on all my Reliant trikes for years & never had a problem. When the MSVA test was first drafted, they wanted all trikes to have linked brakes.
Good job the handbrake held -I guess that's why it's called an emergency brake & why the MOT/MSVA tests specify it should work on all wheels on either axle & should be mechanically operated, (independant of the normal hydraulic "service" brakes).
Do you mean the flared end of the rigid copper brake pipe sheared off? I've always used flexible braided hoses but was planning on using polished copper on Taz's trike. Maybe I still will, but just for the main runs, with flexis at either end.
I always use spring washers, Nyloc nuts or ThreadLok fluid at the very least on everything. Obviously hardtails vibrate more than trikes with suspension, & those long motorway jaunts at constant speed will set up droning vibrations that can eventually cause fractures or loosen nuts & bolts, but sensible regular maintenance should pick them up before they become dangerous.
Sorry JJ, not trying to belittle your experience, but would hate anyone to be put off trying triking because of it, or for you to be pressured to sell your ride on the basis of one dodgy brake pipe -which could happen on any vehicle -who knows what's going on under the bonnet of your car when you're at the wheel?

True enough Andy - I once had a nasty experience at a T junction when my VW Passat just didn't stop - a chunk of the caliper where the brake pipe goes in had simply sheared off and it pissed brake fluid all over the road!

Picked up another dozen "dashboard plaques" from the organisers today, so if you showed a vehicle on Sunday & missed out on your commemorative plaque, get in touch & we'll send you one. They're 2 inches by 4 inches. Usually brass but some sort of alloy this year, (lightweight racing plaques so as not to slow your vehicle down with extra weight I reckon). Each year's features a different Thornycroft lorry.

Too big? We usually use JPEGs, abut 600 x 600 pixels.
If you still have problems, email them to us, (address on the Contacts page), & we'll post them for you. I've been waiting to get everyone's in before making up the photo galleries, so if you've got more than, say, a couple of dozen, we can make up a gallery for you too.

I'm 48 at the moment. I'll be 50 in about a year & a half's time. That's my unofficial target -I want all 4 of our projects finished, up & running by then.

Been waiting for Renegade's photos to arrive -he's the only one who took lots of the whole show, not just our bit of it. They're in the post so we'll get it all online as soon as they arrive.
