Help the Aged ... Some phrases from a gentler age ....
"Duff up" = to soundly thrash ( see appendix A for "Up the Duff" .. )
"Fill in" = to soundly thrash ( see appendix A for alternate usage .. )
"Spank " = to punch ( see appendix A with ref. to "Monkies" .. )
"Knuckle Sandwhich" = a punch to the mouth ( not to be confused with a "knuckle Shuffle " see appendix A .. )
"Lump " = to punch ( thought to derive from the after effects of a "lump" on the "Lumpee" )
"Clump" = to punch
"Punch up the Bracket" = Punch to the head
"Knock his/her block off" = punch to the head
"Punch up the Hooter" = punch to the nose
"Smack in the Gob" = Punch in the mouth ( also see appendix A .. )
"Punch in the Bread basket" = Punch to the stomach
"Face full of Dandruff" = Headbutt ( fell from general usage with the advent of "Head and Shoulders" )
"Stitch this" = a phrase always used as a precurser to a "Face full of Dandruff" ( see also ... "Has your mum got a sowing machine ? " )
"Clip round the lug'ole/ear'ole " = Slap to the ear /side of the head
"kick up the Kyber" = kick to the buttocks , this usually followed a "Clip round the ear'ole "
"Knee in the "nadgers"/ "nads"/ "goolies"/"grapes" or "Family Jewels" .." = Knee to the testicles
