Mini auto was boring mini manual 1380 turbo to radical to tow teardrop cooked turbo on way to rally in August
And classic mini bits getting so expensive taken it in new direction
1500 pug diesel motor now fitted adapted gear linkage to work on 207 cable shifter done 1200 miles in october and just used 2nd tank of fuel !!!! Ticks every box pull very well through gears and I towed well over 500 kgs of scrap to dump on trailer behind it didn't even break into a sweat ..... without any doubt best thing I've done for a while

A diesel trike sounds like a good idea. Often wondered what one would be like. Obviously it has worked out to be very economical.

Few bits to finish on body but cable gear shift flawless and hydraulic clutch conversion is nice it was a shoe horn job to fit it where bmc once lived added remote servo to update brakes

Thanks morrag I do love A series engines but when you add up the prices people demand for parts cylinder heads making 400 plus on the bay I thought enough enough
The diesel motor less than a new set of mini pistons !! No brainier so a rally tractor was born pull my tear drop all day

Well done geezer, but I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Wink I'd love to use the engine from my ford kuga in a project ? But seeing as it's a mobility vehicle I think best not ?

Surely you could claim a trike as a purpose built mobility vehicle?

Stumpy. This is why I have been looking at the Nissan Micra engines. Cheap to buy lighter that an A series. I have a lump here at the moment, but money has been short again so I have not done much so far.
