It all depends if you are pricing it for insurance purposes or to re-sell.......always Insure your trike for what it would cost to re-build or replace it if it was totalled or stolen....Looking at yours I would think an insurance price of around 5K....a selling price would be a lot less than insured price.......but this is just my opinion on it and many others will have different.....My last build (XVZ 1200 full bodied trike) was insured for 15k and when I sold it I got 7500 back on it...atm I have a complete wreck of a Reliant trike (that is now stripped down to nothing for a complete re-build) that is insured for a lowley 2k...saying that it was probably only worth about £500 lol......Best thing to do is exactly what you are doing, have a look around at others prices and ask other trike owners advice....Voodoo....

My own take on this is that trike prices will fluctuate with the seasons, for obvious reasons.
As you seem to have noticed, one mans poop is another mans gold, and this will have a bearing on who is prepared to pay what.
Unlike cars, there is no guide to trike prices, when i have sold them in the past, i`ve looked at my expenditure and come up with something i thought was reasonable for what they were getting, if anything, i think i`ve underpriced as i`ve never intended to retire on the profits , but that said, i`ve never lost money.

Worth putting it on Ebay with a fairly high reserve to test what people will bid for it.  If it doesn't sell you can always offer it to the last bidder if it's a price you're willing to accept, or try it again with a different reserve or....  well you keep your options open if you keep the reserve high.

As with most saleable items, its a mix of,1) Howlong you advertise it for,2)How the market is at that time,3)What you value it at, but one things for certain, you will rarely recover your hours, charged at even average rates, on a trike!and it may be your pride and joy, but not necessarily other peoples taste, such are the vagaries of "one-off" special building. Finally, it depends how much you either want or need to sell, really! In my case it's usually the need to release workshop space for a new project that is factored in to what offer I take, merely an observation, mind you! Morrag
