Top Fuel!
Your last chance to see nitro burning machines this season. Witness them power down the dragstrip and experience the explosive action of what top level Drag Racing has to offer. This year there will be a Top Fuel Dragster and a Fuel Funny Car at Flame & Thunder.
Fireforce Jet Funny Car
The World Record-Breaking Fireforce 3 Jet Car of Martin Hill!
Monster Trucks
The mighty monster trucks Podzilla and Swamp Thing will be jumping and crushing in a battle to find the carnage king!
Jet Dragster
The Split Second Jet Dragster will be blasting down the track driven by Julian Webb.
Aerobatic Air Display
Mark Jefferies will be taking the event to new heights by performing a gravity defying, breath taking air display at 3pm. Mark has twice placed top ten in the World Aerobatic Championships.
Freestyle Motocross
FMX riders will be performing gravity defying tricks as they jump between ramps.
Firework Display
As always the climax to Flame & Thunder will be a spectacular firework displays.
Bonfire
The firework displays will be accompanied by a massive bonfire.
Black Knights Parachute Team
Dropping in from the skies will be the Black Knights parachute display team at 1pm with a special ‘glow’ jump at 6pm.
Jet Truck
Rocket Ronnie brings some of his mad vehicles including his Jet Truck 'Roaring Thunder' which will be lighting the bonfire.
Jason Smythe
The ex-world championship Motocross rider Jason Smyth's show is crammed with spectacular stunts and huge, breathtaking jumps using both Quad bikes and Motorcycles.
Jet Beetle
Another of Rocket Ronnie's vehicles is the Blue Max Jet Beetle, which will be lighting up the strip.
Wheelie Fire Truck
The Backdraft, Guinness World Record holding Wheelie Truck is totally unique. A 20 ton fire engine that puts on a wheelie pulling, dancing and pivoting show.
Terry Grant Stunt Displays
The multiple world record breaking stunt driver Terry Grant will be bringing along his collection of cars for his incredible stunt show.
Titan the Robot
Be prepared to come face to face with the awesome 8ft robot Titan from Cyberstein Robots Limited.
Drifting Demos & Passenger Rides
Drifting is big news at the moment, and we've got the top drivers in the UK displaying their sideways driving skills and giving passenger rides.
Eric Teboul
Frenchman Eric Teboul will be thundering down the track on his crazy Rocket Bike
Flaming Burnouts
Flaming burnouts made a welcome return to Santa Pod at Dragstalgia earlier in the year, if you missed out on that one, here's your chance to catch some rubber burning action.
Jet Karts
Real DIY jet engined vehicles built by keen individuals as seen on two episodes of Scrapheap Challenge where one of the programmes was filmed at Santa Pod.
Risk Club Stunt Riders
The Risk Club stunt team will be wowing the crowd with their jaw-dropping motorbike stunts.
Monster Truck Rides
Rides in the back of the monster truck Red Dragon will be available throughout the day.
Zero Gravity
Chris Doney's Freestyle Trials team will be performing stunts on 2 wheels or less!
Kids Entertainment
If the fabulous array of vehicles on show isn't enough to keep the kids happy there will also be children's entertainers, Nitro the Dragon, a Kids Playbus and Circus Whiz's interactive circus skills workshop.
Kids Disco! Make sure you come along to our Halloween disco and remember your costumes as there is a prize for best fancy dress!
Radio Controlled Cars:
A variety of 1/10th scale electric radio controlled cars including drift cars will be racing on a special track where the public will be able to test their skills along with the experts.
Helicopter Pleasure Flights:
If you have always wanted to fly in a helicopter then this is your chance, with passenger flights around the raceway site available from Cranfield Helicopters. (Weather permitting. £30 adults, £25 kids, £100 family of 4)
2Seater Dragster
Watch as the brave and the lucky get to ride down the strip in the 7 second Santa Pod 2Seater dragster. See the 2Seater page for how to book a ride.
Weekend Tickets
Make a weekend of it with evening entertainment in Fuelers bar on Friday and Saturday, then stay on for Run What Ya Brung (RWYB) on Sunday, where the famous quarter mile is open to the public. Details at
www.RWYB.com, please note the track is not open for RWYB on Saturday.
Car Clubs
All car clubs are welcome at Flame & Thunder, if you would like to book a club camping area please phone 01234 782828 before Friday 21st October.
Enjoy The Evening
Avoid the traffic queues that form immediately after the fireworks display and stay to enjoy the extended activities on and off the track, including Jet Beetle and Truck, Terry Grant, Jason Smyth and the Monster Trucks, a Live Band and more.
