DOC’S SUZUKI GS850 TRIKE.
A very Brief History
I will start at the beginning of the build which was a Reliant powered monstrosity compared to what she is now.

This was the initial drawing of what I thought I was going to build.

This is the Reliant Chassis with a Yamaha XS750 frame tack welded to give me something to think about. That's how I worked out where to mount the engine and which bits of the bike frame I had to remove and adapt.

Engine and all running gear mounted, cooling and wiring runs laid up.
The frame tabs for accessories welded on at this point, seating arrangements, Forward controls added too.

Up to now the project had taken nearly 9 years, mainly coz I didn't have a garage or shed.

Mk1 called Twisted as the Steering was slightly Pi**ed by about 2 Degrees.
Passed First MOT in about 15 minutes.
One Year Later
Shagged out 3 Reliant engines.
Got totally fed up with blowing head gaskets and having heads skimmed.
Went Jap.

Kawasaki GT750 added and the handlebars changed as I discovered that wider and lower was better.
Snapped Prop shaft at 80mph (she was good for 110mph with the reliant engine if you waited long enough, 105 ish with the Kawasaki unit.) Back on the road in 4 hours.
Name change to Twisted Patience, coz that's how my Patience was going (downhill)
Another year or so on.
Parked in town to visit the Money box, stood opposite the Trike and watched a Women with her son, run down to her car jump in and reverse 10- 15 yards straight into the front of the trike.
The back wheels of the car where actually off the ground, result Totalled but insisted that the insurance company rebuilt it not "Write it off".
Wish Granted, new frame and the complete GSX1100 front end.

Wish the paint looked like that now

Almost complete had stainless drag pipes made with VW beetle mufflers fitted.
Starter clutch failed even tho' the engine was totally rebuilt with new parts by a Kawasaki Mechanic. Went like stink when the thing did fire up. Still managed to use it for work most days. Had to keep a charged car battery in the garage to start it most mornings as standard battery would last about 5 tries before giving up.
Bought Suzuki GS850 GN with 18000 miles on the clock  and it was correct give or take a thou or two hardly any wear and tear and I know the previous owner who had it 10 odd years did less that 100 miles a year. Just what I needed, in one weekend had the engine in and running, propshaft followed in a week, back to riding in a week and a half.
Took sometime to sort the Tuning eventually it took until a year ago to get more than 50mph out of her.
Dump the air box add K&N type filters, new exhaust system, Air Corrector kit, lots of tinkering. Now touches a ton just.
